Import & Export Both

Easily migrate your existing tasks, projects, and checklists into TapTidy, or export your full data catalog anytime in open standard formats.

Importing Tasks & Services

Open Settings → Data & backup → Import to launch the Import Wizard. TapTidy supports 13 import sources:

• Direct Account Connections: Todoist (via OAuth or API token with live project and label mapping).
• Application Exports: Asana (project CSV export), TickTick (backup CSV), Microsoft To Do, Remember The Milk, OmniFocus (TaskPaper), and Todoist CSV.
• Open & Plain-Text Formats: Markdown checklists, Todo.txt, Emacs Org-mode, Taskwarrior JSON, and TapTidy JSON backups.
• Custom CSV: Upload generic CSV files with an interactive column mapper for titles, due dates, priorities, notes, and tags.

Exporting Your Workspace

Download your complete workspace in standard formats under Settings → Data & backup → Export:

• Full TapTidy JSON: Complete database archive including tasks, subtasks, notes, projects, tags, and settings.
• Spreadsheet CSV: Formatted table export compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and data tools.
• Plain Text & Markdown: Clean markdown files preserving project and heading hierarchies.
• Developer & CLI Formats: Todo.txt, Emacs Org-mode, Taskwarrior JSON, and Task Passport archive formats.
