Email Capture Both
Forward or send emails to your personal TapTidy address to turn messages into tasks automatically. Household owners can also configure a shared household address that routes incoming mail to shared family tasks or errands.
Setup & Addresses
Open Settings → Integrations → Email Settings on web to create and verify your personal capture address (e.g. alice@my.taptidy.app).
Household addresses are owner-managed in Household Settings. By default, incoming household emails become Shared Tasks. If the subject contains errand (any casing), TapTidy classifies it as an Errand.

Verified Forwarders
If you forward messages from secondary email accounts (such as a personal Gmail or work Outlook), register those addresses under Verified Forwarders in Email Settings. TapTidy verifies the forwarding chain and applies your personal routing rules.
Sender Trust Badges
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✓ Verified sender | SPF verification passed and connection was TLS-encrypted. |
| ? Sender check inconclusive | SPF returned neutral or softfail. |
| ⚠ Unverified sender | SPF verification failed; possible unverified sender. |
Email Threading & Attachments
Follow-up replies matching In-Reply-To or References headers are automatically attached to the original task as a thread update rather than creating duplicates.
TapTidy captures and displays attachment metadata (filename, file size, and file type) directly on the task card for reference.
