Email Routing Rules Both

Automatically route incoming emails into specific projects using plus-addressing, subject hashtags, or custom routing rules.

Plus-Addressing

Append a +tag to your personal handle to route incoming mail directly into a target project:

• alice+groceries@my.taptidy.app → Routes to Shopping project
• alice+work@my.taptidy.app → Routes to Work project
• alice+ideas@my.taptidy.app → Routes to Ideas project

If a plus-tag matches an existing project name, TapTidy routes it automatically even without an explicit rule.

Subject Line Routing

You can also specify target projects in the email subject line:

• Hashtags: Include #ProjectName in the subject (e.g. Quarterly review #Work).
• Bracket Tokens: Use [project:My Project] (takes highest precedence).

Managing Routing Rules

Manage your custom plus-address mappings on web in Settings → Integrations → Email Routing Rules. You can create rules, copy address links, and preview how incoming plus-addresses map to your workspace projects.
